Photoshop changed the design industry. You can manipulate photos as much as you can and want, limited only with your capabilities. But some dudes, wanna-be-designers or just not-so-careful guys screw their projects up pretty well.
When you are retouching a picture you have to be careful about details. Most common mistakes are seen in anatomic mishaps. You will see that mostly designers forget to remove unwanted parts and there come the third arms, legs or missing legs and so on and so on.
Sometimes you won’t even believe that such a mistake could ever be done. So obvious!
So, come on guys, we are given a talent, a great tool called Photoshop, only thing to do is be careful and use your mind. Look at those awful mistakes and keep them in mind next time you start manipulating a photo! Read more »

Recently, one of our customers ordered a YouTube banner for their Partner page. And I decided to prepare a tutorial for our readers on how to make a YT banner with links using Photoshop. Note that you have to be a “partner” to setup a channel banner like this.
Hollywood, fancy magazines, superstars all make us think and dream about perfectness. A Hollywood smile. Would you like those movie starts and music artists just the same way you do now if they had not-so-perfect teeth?
If you have already noticed, every explanatory image on the web has a reflection. And it really enhances it. Especially when you see some software image (something like a plastic box) – it has a reflection almost 100%.

Brushes make our Photoshop projects look more complete and just beautiful. They make it easier to decorate an image: with just one click you add a nice flower, a bird, an abstract line, curve, whatever-you-may-think-of. The only limit is your imagination and creativity.
The million dollar question is: “Which image format is the ultimate solution for web usage?”. And the answer is… well, it depends. There’s no ultimate and common image format to meet all the needs when using it on the Web. Because it depends on where and how it will be used and what you want from the image: the quality or file size.
Every web designer, big or small, deals with images transparent background sooner or later. Sometimes, there is a background with complex color theme, or dynamic background and the like, and you need to put an image that will fit there regardless of the background behind it. Here you will need an image with a transparent background.
I would award with a Noble Prize the person who invented shortcuts and hot keys. Especially when you are working on something that requires focus and concentration. Thankfully, the Photoshop creators provided us with many hotkeys that are extremely useful. They save time and most important of all – your concentration.
Black and white photography is a big book of knowledge. It can’t be taught in a few words with a couple of screenshots.
