Most Famous Brands: Guess The Logo

Logo GamesWe have talked about famous and most recognizable logos many times and you see them everyday and everywhere. They are a part of our lives for sure. Every single product has a logo on it and some of them we recognize from a distance, some by colors, style, letters, fonts and so on.

How well you know the most famous logos? We all know that Google logo has “some bright colors in it” but which ones and in what order? McDonald’s logo – red background and a big yellow M… Pepsi – a round red blue and white logo, with some curves… etc. Details? Hehe…

I have already mentioned logo games previously and seems like one of them has gone further than just one-time online fun. GuessTheLogo.com has released the game version for iPhone and Android. Read more »

Logo Trends: Unilever Mania

Logo Trends: Unilever ManiaSome logos become trend-setters, since they are just so superb. And the famous Unilever logo is one of such. It was designed by Miles Newlyn in 2005. The logo consists of many objects symbolizing Unilever products and benefits the company brings to its customers. You might have read our post on Unilever logo details.

Mr Newlyn is a Great designer but a stuck-up guy as I see. I have contacted him via email to ask for a little interview to inspire our readers, but he declined, saying “I don’t want my name to be related to a website which provides cheap logos”. Wow. What an attitude!

Whatever. Today we are speaking about how great the logo is and how it set a trend in logo design.

I’ve seen thousands of logos and of course logos can be divided into categories. And one of the categories I would call Unilever Mania. So I’ve picked all I could find for you to see how similar ideas can spark in different minds [or did one designer steal from another?]. Read more »

Slogans/Taglines of The Most Famous Brands:Free Article

Consider this as a giveaway article. Use it as you like.

The topic is really interesting and compelling one. Aren’t you curious about interesting facts and stories behind some of the most famous brands’ slogans/taglines? Like Nike: Just Do It. The whole world knows the Nike logo and the pretty tagline, but do you know when it was created and by whom?

So I was going to make a huge research on those historical facts, but got stuck when it came to the difference between slogans and taglines. I don’t want to finish the post still being unsure about the pureness of data [like most publishers of such posts did], so I just want to put it as it is for you to finish it and give it a professional and genuine looks.

So here it is, to the point where I got stuck, with pictures and text and the most famous brands already pre-selected.

Use it as you want, just let me know where it will appear, I am just curious. Read more »

Touch-Screen Fun:Finger-painted Logos

Ever tried finger-painting on your touch phones? If you didn’t – try it, it’s fun! A bit cumbersome [new word in my English:) ] simply because it doesn’t draw right under your fingertip, it’s…uhh..you have to try it to understand.
One day I got so much bored that I grabbed my wife’s Nokia N97 mini and started finger-drawing some logos just as I remembered them. Not too perfect they went…but..anyways, take a look. Heh. Read more »

New Year Logo Decorations – 2011

Year 2010 is taking it’s last breaths, trying to catch some more oxygen, but hey, time’s ticking away. So before we knock and open 2011, let’s check what did famous web-sites do with their logos (and/or sites), because tomorrow will be too late.

Not so many of the big websites do the New Year decoration, actually. Seems like moguls like Apple, Nike and MakeUseOf don’t have the time to fancy up their looks. Hehe, well, we did.
