As I promised before, I’ve finished writing another Photoshop Guide titled “An Idiot’s Guide to Photoshop, Part 4: Advanced Features and Fun Photo Effects” for MakeUseOf.com and now it is available for free download. No matter whether you are a beginner or an advanced Photoshop user, this guide will teach you some cool things for sure.
If you are designing something for a T-shirt (or other clothing) you will need a template to put your design on it and see how it looks. Or, let’s say you are submitting your design to an online service like Threadless. Or you just want to show off before your friends online.

If you have ever used Photoshop for any project where alignment/layout of elements is very important then you are familiar with Guides. Especially web designers, who deal with templates know what I am talking about. And calculating guide spaces is not the sweetest part of the job. Some skip this part and put guides relying on their eyes. But it’s not accurate.
I am currently working over another PDF guide on Photoshop, that’s why I thought it would be cool to give you the first two parts of the series. These guides are best for beginners – once you go through them you will not be scared when you open Photoshop for the first time.
Even though we’ve already kissed Halloween goodbye, there might still be a need for some nice brushes. Fonts are a huge and very important part of design. Any design, as you see text in every design product. And choosing the right font for your text is not an easy task.
