Brushes make our Photoshop projects look more complete and just beautiful. They make it easier to decorate an image: with just one click you add a nice flower, a bird, an abstract line, curve, whatever-you-may-think-of. The only limit is your imagination and creativity.
So you’ve found a nice brush set you wanna use, but not sure HOW to install it, huh? In this easy tutorial I will show how to install a new brush in Photoshop. I am using a PC [MAC users, sorry], Photoshop CS4 Extended [it's almost the same for other versions].
Brushes have .abr extension.
Open Photoshop.
Click on Brush Tool:

Click on down-arrow as shown below:

Click on right-arrow to open sub-menu:

Choose Load Brushes:

Go to your new brushes’ location and click on Load. New brushes will appear underneath your current brushes:

Done! Ready for use.
Tip: You can add (copy&paste) your brushes (the .abr files) once into Adobe’s Program Files folder (C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4PresetsBrushes), so that they will always be there with no need to Load them everytime.
Best practice: put only your favorite brushes into that folder.
Next time I will showcase the best sites where you can download free Photoshop brushes.
