Hollywood, fancy magazines, superstars all make us think and dream about perfectness. A Hollywood smile. Would you like those movie starts and music artists just the same way you do now if they had not-so-perfect teeth?

Sometimes you have a nice photo and your teeth…well…they could be whiter, right? Assuming you have visited your dentist after seeing such a failure, but the past is history and you can’t change it.

Here comes the universal cure – Photoshop. With just a small knowledge of the software you can change the looks and brag about your perfectness…but only if they don’t see you in real life

Don’t believe everything you see online!

Ok, today I’ll show you some easy steps to make your teeth look like you have just left the dentist.

1. Open your picture in Photoshop.

2. Zoom to the mouth area, so that you can see teeth clearly.
3. We’ll use the Quick Selection tool to select teeth:

4. Make sure you have Add to Selection and Auto-Enhance selected:

5. Now make a selection of teeth, using the Quick Selection tool:

6. The selection is rough, click Refine Edge to uhh…refine the edges:

7. Adjust Feather setting as following (this may vary depending on your picture size/resolution/etc., play around until you have smooth selection):

Note: you can cycle through preview modes by clicking “F” key while in Refine Edge dialog box.

8. Activate Hue/Saturation panel (Window->Adjustments->Hue-Saturation ):

9. Set Yellows Saturation to -65 or so; and since I have some red tone on the picture I am using, I will adjust Reds as well:

10. Then enhance the Lightness of the Master channel, just lighten a bit by dragging the arrow:

Do not overdo it, though, keep it realistic!

As a result, you will get whiter teeth 100%. See the difference:
